Expanse Webinar Series
Learn what Remote Desktop Protocol is, the risks it exposes organizations to, and how they can protect themselves from those risks.
Insecure implementations of Remote Desktop Protocol have exposed organizations to serious risks of cyber attacks. Ransomware like SamSam and cryptominers like CrySis exploit insecure configurations, resulting in large and well-publicized breaches like the one that occurred at LabCorp. Because of the nature of Remote Desktop Protocol, these exposures often occur outside of organizations' known IP space, making them difficult to detect and remediate.
In this webinar, Dr. Matt Kraning, CTO and Co-Founder of Expanse, will discuss how easily these misconfigurations occur, how organizations can discover them, even outside of normal IP space, and how they can establish playbooks to remediate and reduce occurrence over time.
In this webinar, you will learn how:
Dr. Matt Kraning is the CTO and Co-Founder of Expanse. He is an expert in large-scale optimization, distributed sensing, and machine learning algorithms run on massively parallel systems. Prior to co-founding Expanse, Matt worked for DARPA, including a deployment to Afghanistan. Matt holds PhD and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, all from Stanford University.
